Warm Height Presents: The Desert Wash
The Somehow Pseudo-Sphaghetti Western 50’s Faith Crisis Rom-Com Modern American Religious Folk Opera You Didn't Know You've Been Wanting to Hear.
Coming May 12th, 2018
So what's the story?
Two people are married, and they are driving in Utah desert space, and there are songs--16 of them--that sing along. The two people are sliding in separate directions on a spectrum. Sometimes playful, sometimes painful, the two people duke it out. The third one comes, and there is a haunt, and a wash, and a broken thigh.
Who Dunnit?
The story was written, discussed, and recorded in Singapore, Singapore; Malad City, Idaho; Los Angelos, California; Salt Lake City, Utah; Logan, Utah; and Gorham, Maine. Eight different musicians, all slipping around in different directions on that aforementioned spectrum, lent their voice, thoughts, time, and talent to the making of this thing. The hope was and is to make music that is unexplainable enough to feel like something spiritually real.
Why?
Good Question.
